Types of Problems - Disorders

For over twenty five years I have been helping people who experience:


Anxiety: Feelings of nervousness and worry that occur in the presence or absence of stressful events. Chronic anxiety can be expressed in the form of somatic complaints (e.g. inability to relax, muscle tension, stomachaches, headaches) frequent worries (e.g. school, work, family, friends, money and health) mind going blank and feeling panicky.

Depression: Diminished interest in and enjoyment from everyday activities, social withdrawal, sleeping too much or too little, eating too much or too little, loss of energy, negative thinking, feelings of sadness and hopelessness.

I also work with children, adolescents and adults who have chronic conditions such as autoimmune diseases and other health related disorders such as diabetes. In addition, I have expertise in the Diagnosis and Treatment of:


- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD) and related disorders such as Learning Disabilities

- Autism, specifically individuals with Asperger's Syndrome and high functioning Autism.

- Tourette's Disorder
- Down's Syndrome - Rare childhood disorders and syndromes

- Individual Psychotherapy

- Personal Coaching (time management, resilience, prioritization, etc.)

- Couples/Marriage Counseling - Family Therapy
- Psychological Evaluations & Psycho-Educational Evaluations (Children, Adolescents & Adults)

- School Visits (Observations) & School Consultations

- Development of 504 Plans, relevant portions of IEP's (Individualized Educational Plans)
